Position Summary
The Sr. Analyst, Data Science transforms complex, high-volume data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making across the organization. Applying advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and rigorous analytical approaches, this role partners with product, engineering, marketing, and operations to address high-impact business questions. The focus is on producing reliable, decision-ready analyses that connect data to measurable outcomes and guide strategic execution.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems
Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization, including Medical Claims, Procedure, HUB, SP, SD, LTC and Prescription data sets
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular system audits and resolving discrepancies to maintain reliable datasets for analytics and decision-making
Conduct A/B tests, statistical analyses, and causal inference to evaluate business initiatives and product changes
Translate business needs into data requirements and collaborate with data engineering to ensure high-quality data availability
Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Develop dashboards and data visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business health
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science and analytics

Education/Experience/Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics or a related field. Targeting 3 years of progressively responsible experience in data science or an advanced analytics role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
Key Skills:
Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling
Strong SQL and Snowflake skills and experience working with large-scale data systems
Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and A/B testing methodologies
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
Knowledge of modern ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow)
Background in a specific domain (e.g., fintech, e-commerce, healthcare) is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Must be able and willing to travel on occasion
Physical Requirements
This role involves regular standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and maintain visual, verbal, and auditory communication in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedules or business needs.
In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.
